After being named the Lincoln Public Schools Multicultural Educator of the Year, Randy co-founded the Cultural Competence Center, which runs workshops for organizations seeking to increase cultural awareness in its employees and practices. Randy has received teaching-related awards from the APA, the Center for Civic Education, the NAACP, the University of Nebraska, and other organizations. Randy%u2019s mentors include Drs. Mary Kay Reed, Thomas Christie, Cliff Fawl, and Ludy Benjamin. Influential teachers include Don Davis and Avon Crawford. He is an Emeritus Professor of Education at Nebraska Wesleyan University, the husband of Teresa Wanser-Ernst, and the father of Emily, Meredith, and Jocelyn.%u2026 and special consultantDavid Myers received his B.A. in chemistry from Whitworth University and his psychology Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. He has spent his career at Hope College in Michigan, where he has taught dozens of introductory psychology sections. Hope College students have invited him to be their commencement speaker and voted him outstanding professor.David Myers has chaired his city%u2019s Human Relations Commission, helped found a thriving assistance center for families in poverty, and spoken worldwide to hundreds of college, community, and professional groups. He has also spoken to many high school groups, including AP%u00ae Psychology conferences, an AP%u00ae Psychology reading, Teachers of Psychology in Secondary Schools, the National Council for Social Studies Psychology Community, and the 2017 APA Summit on High School Psychology Education. David is the author of many textbooks on psychology, including the market-leading Myer%u2019s Psychology for the AP%u00ae Course.
